We believe that the Bible is the only true and infallible word of God, and that it is completely sufficient by itself as a guide to faith and life. Nevertheless, it's extremely useful to write down what we understand that guide to say. This is why the OPC and other denominations have identified several documents that serve as our "secondary standards". These include the Westminster Confession of Faith (WCF), the Larger Catechism (LC)and the Shorter Catechism (SC). We also hold to a number of creeds: the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed.
